Wolfsburg’s latest signing Renato Steffen has become the 6000th foreign player to be featured in the Bundisliga after coming in as substitute from the bench against Borrusia Dortmud on matchday 18.
Steffen now has a Bundisliga milestone to his playing career just few days after signing in for ‘Wolfsburg Fc’ from Basel. Winning a swiss cup and two domestic league trophies from last 2016/2017 season.
He is the 86th swiss player to have played in the Bundisliga, one of 106 different nations represented in the league. Anton Allemann who played for ‘Nurnberg Fc’ in 1964 was the first swiss player to appear in the Bundisliga.
In total, the vast majority of the 6000th player to have been featured in Bundisliga so far are as follows; Germany(3807), with Brazil(147), Denmark(122), Austria(106) and Crotia(97).
