FSV Mainz defender Leon Balagun disappointed as his club failed to pick three points against Wolfsburg.
Balagun who was making his tenth league start of the season, featured in the three man defense along side captain Stefan Bell and Abdoul Dialto. Wolfsburg scored first when Josip Brekalo netted the post from a William pass in the 6th minute to give the visiting team an initial advantage.
Just before the half time break, substitute Yoshinori Muto equalized for the home side to ensure both teams were leveled 1-1.
After the match, Leon Balogun tweeted on his social media handle, showing his displeasure with the outcome of the game-; “Definitely not the result we wanted, but one point is still better than none. Onto the next, we keep on fighting.”
The results leaves mainz in the 15th position on 24 points from 24 games, just one point above the regulation play zone.
