The World cup defending champions Germany ended their title defense with a moan as energetic South Koreans stage a surprise victory with a 2-0 win against the German national team. And humiliating early exit for Joachim Low’s men.
For the first time since 1938 since the German team have failed to advance to the next stage of the world cup.
Indeed the Germans had 90% ball possession but they failed to convert any of their chance. German Mats HUmmels had the best chance in the second half of the game in the 87minutes but his header was off target.
The Koreans capitalized on a terrible defensive mixed up in the German defense box which allowed the Koreans scored a very cheap goal. It was initially disallowed for offside but a VAR replay indicates that the ball had been played to him by a German defender.
Obviously, the Germans have their selves to be blamed.
